General Warranty

At MOTOVELO, every bike is built to be ridden hard and supported properly. This General Warranty explains what is covered, what is not, how long coverage lasts, and how to request warranty service if something goes wrong with your bike.

1Warranty Coverage at a Glance

Every MOTOVELO bike is covered against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use.

Coverage is divided into component categories. The warranty period that applies to each category — along with any conditions specific to it — is stated on the product page at the time of purchase and in the warranty documentation included with your order.

  • Structural components — frame, stem, handlebars and related structural parts
  • Core components — motor, battery, controller and main electronic systems
  • Electronic components — display, throttle, sensors, lights, wiring, switches and charger
  • Wear-and-tear parts — tires, tubes, chains, brake pads, rotors, spokes, grips, pedals and similar consumable items
Wear-and-tear parts are consumable items that wear down through normal riding. They are covered only against manufacturing defects present at the time of delivery, not against wear from regular use.

2Warranty Period & Eligibility

Coverage begins on the date your order is delivered and runs for the warranty period applicable to your product.

The warranty is registered to the original purchaser and requires valid proof of purchase (your order number and the name on the order).

The warranty may be transferred to a subsequent owner only if:

  • The applicable warranty period has not yet ended
  • The subsequent owner can provide the original purchaser's name and the original order number

This warranty applies to products purchased through the MOTOVELO official website or authorized sales channels, and is valid for products used in the country where they were purchased.

3What This Warranty Covers

This warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship that appear under normal, intended use during the applicable warranty period, including:

  • Manufacturing defects in covered components
  • Failures that occur under normal use and proper maintenance
  • Eligible damage that occurs during shipping, when reported and documented promptly after delivery

If a covered defect is confirmed, MOTOVELO will provide a replacement part or, where appropriate, another suitable resolution.

Repair or replacement does not restart or extend the original warranty period. No cash reimbursement is provided.

4What Is Not Covered

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by accidents, abuse, misuse, neglect or abnormal use, including stunt riding, racing, jumping or any activity inconsistent with the intended use of the product
  • Normal wear and tear, and cosmetic damage such as scratches, dents, paint fading or surface-finish deterioration
  • Wear-and-tear parts worn through regular use
  • Damage caused by unauthorized repair, disassembly, modification or adjustment, including drilling or welding
  • Damage caused by assembly, maintenance, installation or service that differs from the Assembly Instructions or Owner's Manual
  • Damage caused by improper storage, immersion in water, exposure to liquids, chemicals, moisture, sand, dirt, extreme heat or overloading
  • Damage caused by use of accessories, chargers, batteries or peripheral equipment not supplied or approved by MOTOVELO
  • Products whose serial number or barcode has been removed, defaced, altered or made illegible
  • Damage caused by external events, including collision, fire, flooding, windstorm, lightning, earthquake, theft, power surges or improper use of a power source
  • Corrosion of electrical or mechanical components
  • Second-hand, refurbished or modified products, and products purchased from unauthorized sellers
  • Free gifts or promotional items, unless stated otherwise
  • Labor, installation, diagnostic or mechanic fees charged by any third-party service provider
Battery-specific: the battery warranty does not cover damage from charging with an incompatible or non-approved charger, broken battery seals or evidence of tampering, or use of the battery in equipment other than your bike.

5How to Make a Warranty Claim

  1. Contact our support team — email us before sending anything back or before any repair is attempted.
  2. Provide proof of purchase — your order number and the name on the order.
  3. Provide evidence — clear photos or videos showing the issue, plus the product serial number where applicable.
  4. Review and determination — our team reviews the request and determines whether the issue qualifies under this warranty. Documentation must be received and reviewed before any replacement part is shipped.
  5. Resolution — if approved, we provide the replacement part and instructions, and tell you whether the original part needs to be returned.
Please do not attempt unauthorized repairs before contacting us. Unauthorized repair or disassembly may void the warranty for the affected component.

6Replacement Parts & Service

  • Approved warranty claims are resolved with replacement parts, not cash reimbursement.
  • Replacement parts may be new or equivalent-quality refurbished parts with comparable performance.
  • Labor is not included — installation, mechanic, diagnostic and service fees are the customer's responsibility and are not reimbursed.
  • You may install the replacement part yourself or use a local repair service at your own expense.
  • MOTOVELO may request the return of the defective part before or after a replacement is approved.
  • Any shipping cost that applies to warranty parts will be confirmed with you before dispatch.

MOTOVELO reserves the right to determine, based on the evidence provided, whether an issue qualifies under this warranty.

7Shipping Damage

In rare cases a product may be damaged during shipping. If your order arrives damaged, please contact us promptly after delivery and provide:

  • Your order number
  • Photos or videos clearly showing the damage
  • Photos of the shipping carton and packaging materials

Please keep all original packaging and paperwork until your claim has been reviewed and resolved.

Shipping damage claims are time-sensitive — please inspect your order as soon as it arrives and report any damage right away.

8Limitation of Liability

  • This warranty is limited to the replacement of covered parts that are defective in materials or workmanship.
  • MOTOVELO is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of use, loss of time, or incidental expenses.
  • MOTOVELO reserves the right to determine whether damage or a defect qualifies under this warranty.
  • Where a covered component is no longer available, it may be replaced with the same or the most nearly comparable component.
  • Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

9Policy Updates

MOTOVELO may update this warranty policy from time to time. The updated version takes effect once it is published on our official website and does not apply retroactively to products purchased before the update.

10Important Notes

  • Proof of purchase required — keep your order confirmation; warranty requests cannot be processed without it.
  • Documentation matters — photos or videos are required for all warranty requests.
  • Contact us first — do not repair, modify or return anything before speaking with our support team.
  • Labor excluded — warranty coverage covers parts, not installation or service fees.
  • Use as intended — the bike is designed for its intended use; stunt riding, racing and commercial use are outside the scope of this warranty.
